Hiya Guys ;) ,

Yep, it's official. I just picked up this Turkish Hatsan MP-2 18" tactical 12 gauge pump that accepts 2-3/4" & 3" mag shells. Here is a really good tabletop review of it.

My observations after getting a Hands-On look at it.

With the limbsavers style recoil pad that's on it which is really nice makes this stock about an inch or 2 too long, which is different since most rifles are an inch or two too short for me so I can live with it. The heat shield, flash hider and threaded barrel are really nice. The flash hider adds 2" to the length of the barrel. I have got to say I really like the High Vis fiber optic peep (ghost ring) sights. I was going to add a Red-Dot optic, but the sight picture with these sites is awesome and it's not needed. As a matter of fact it makes this thing feel more like a target rifle than a scattergun. I'm not really a fan of lower or forward grip handles and I just as soon not have them but the lower handle on this thing feels really nice and I can get a good purchase on it and I like the Shelf at the bottom of it that gives my pinky finger something to set in.

I know some people may not agree but this thing is much nicer than any other 18" pump gun I've had including high standard, Remington and Mossberg. The guy I got this from bought it brand new & he's only put 15 shells through it since he bought it. He also threw in 150 shells most of which are 00 buckshot & a little birdshot. I guess it's a good thing I recently picked up another 30 cal. ammo can that was empty, now it's packed full of shotshells :) ...

Sounds like you got a good deal on the shotgun and all those shotshells. Let know how it does at the range and how it does in the long term.
