twist rate in a Rem Mohawk 600 .243

I have a Rem Mohawk 600 .243 and I don't know the twist as I don't have a manual for the old gun. Someone on here might know?
It has an 18" bbl I believe.

^^I'm sure that's correct, as 1:10 was the standard twist for .243 for many years.

If you ever want to measure the twist in a rifle, it's fairly easy to do: mark out 12" on a cleaning rod, put the cleaning jag and a patch on the end of it, and draw the rod through the barrel for the 12" marks you have made. While pulling it through, count the number of rotations the rod makes. That'll be your twist rate.

The Bergers should be fine.

My old Lyman 46 says it is 1 in 9 1/8. It isn't difficult to check with a cleaning rod.

Remington 600s and 660s should be the same, just no rib on top. Check it to be sure.
