Option 3: Sell one and get a clean used older Weaver K series. A K4 is impossible to beat for the sub $100 price they usually sell for.

If it is an older Simmons Aetech model made in the Philippians ?
& it looks like this & has the gold leaf inlay its a keeper
All my coyote rigs are topped off with the Aetech they work great at night with fresh snow & a full moon.

The Simmons AETEC I had exhibited the worst case of fish eye I've ever seen in a rifle scope.

I'll give you a good price on one.

Just kidding.

I do have one of these that came on a used rifle I need to sell off one of these days but that will probably be next year.

The newer China made Aetech are junk. The older ones that came out of the Philippians are dam good scopes.

I personally prefer Pentax, and I have three of them, all Game seekers ;
a 1.75-5x20 on an 8mm mauser
a 3-9x40 on a .280 Remington
and a fixed 6x42 on a ?
I have a couple of rifles that I am undecided at this point. As far as Simmons go, I had one once and it didn't perform, when it really counted, and let a really nice 8 point buck walk @ 320 yards.
I have been with hunters in the field with Leupolds that failed, although they have a great warranty and customer service, they cost a hunter his hunt, so I won't own one of those either.
But there are plenty of other quality brands out there, Weaver (which I own), Nikon, Burris etc.... Good Luck!
