Two Tone Glock

Heres my Gen2 G22 that I have given a sweet looking two tone look, Its my IPSC gun. I got the inspiration from the G22 which is in the back ground of the second pic.

The slide had what I was told was Duracoat on it, which I wasnt too fond of. So, after round 1 of rubbing it with both acetone and paint thinner and hitting it with a dremel powered wire brush(which didnt do a dang thing to the finish), and round 2 of soaking it in Jasco epoxy stripper for and hour and 45mins of scrubbing with a heavy duty scotch bright scrubber pad it turned out with a nice two tone look. And yes, I popped the sight off and the barrel was already polished by the previous owner who had it before the person I got it from.

After the hard work. Two Toning looks sweet I think.

It looks good, but I would have had it hard chromed instead and kept a better level of corrosion resistance.

IIRC , the Tenifer finish is actually a surface treatment and does not have anything to do with the black coating. So even though the black is gone, the slide is still protected by the tenifer.

But I hope you don't get too much glare off the the top of the slide that might affect your aim when out in the sunlight.

Here are my Gen2 Glocks.
G17 on top and G19 on the bottom, both with TFO sights.

The G17 slide was finished with KG GunKote in a custom light gray color.
The G19 is a former LEO weapon that, I believe, is also GunKoted.

The G19 is my daily carry gun.

Looks awesome, I am a huge glock man myself, but I must admit, they are kind of boring to look at. I would actually pay you to do that to mine, it looks so good, I also like the way you kept it black in the grooves of the slide....nifty

BTW, how would one go about getting their slide hard chromed?

Looks good, you could also try a bit of 'Mothers Mag Polish' to really add some shine if you like. Oh and also you gotta do something about that Dell in the back-ground
