I just recieved my trio of P6s from Centerfire today. The one that will be my carry piece is dated 1994. The two safe queens have consecutive serial numbers, both from 10/98. The spare magazines were still in the package, and there were NO wear smilies on the barrel. The finishes of all 3 guns are flawless. All 3 guns have new bar-dot sights.

I can't believe this deal, $880 for 3 new Sigs...I'll post more pics and a range report on Saturday.

Be still, my beating heart... Those look absolutely flawless. I'm going to AIM soon to buy a P6 for myself, though probably with more in the way of holster wear than yours.

They all have Sig's regular bar-dot sights, which I was planning on buying if they didn't have them already...I'm please, in so many ways, with these guns:D

I handled a few P6s at the gun show, and they felt perfect, absolutely fell in love with these guns. I always thought a Sig was beyond my financial reach, but not right now.

Can't wait to get one of my very own!

Wow! Looking for my first handgun and this might fit the bill nicely. I've been eying up the M&P's for a while, but if these Sig's are half of what everyone says they are, then I'll use the $200 or so saved for ammo! :D

Going to be my first handgun, too. Say what you will about ammo prices, 9mm is still reasonable. Especially to a person who's used to paying $.50/round for decent rifle ammo.

How much did Centerfire want for just one gun?

What is Aim asking for one gun?

I'm seriously thinking about getting one this time around. Those are NICE looking surplus guns.

Sweet !!!
I found one new in a blue box .snatched it up in a hurry 375.00 3/1980 date on slide still had copper grease in barrel not rings on barrel from slide cycling. Now just need mags, Also found a blackhawk holster leather for 30.00

AIM wants $270 for one P6 with holster and 2 8-round factory magazines, Centerfire wants $280 for more or less the same. The Centerfire guns might be in a little better condition, but I don't know.

Don't take this personally or anything like that, but I hate you!

J/K, seems like everyone else always has the luck, congratulations on 3 excellent buys.

All the 225's I have seen were rough looking. How did you score that one?

I asked Magnus at Centerfire Systems to find me some good ones, and he really came through for me. Great service!

edited to add:

The one in my hand in the pictures is the "rough" one, that had a smily or two on the barrel from the action being cycled. The other two are flawless.

I just bought a Sig P6, and have a quick question. On the barrel and on the slide is stamped a 3-digit number...they match on my gun. What, if anything does that number mean? There's also an "NW" stamped on the slide for some reason. Anyone?

Simply beautiful! Now, get some Nills grips for your CCW P6. It will thank you! If you want some pictures of what that'll look like, post a request on SIGforum. Ken Lunde, SIGforum's Minister of Envy, will quickly post pictures that will result in the subsequent, massive deflation of the physical space occupied by your once-full wallet. :D

Quick note/nitpick:
The P225 and P6 aren't quite the same. The principal differences are between the hammers and the fact that you won't likely find a P225 for $270. For all practical purposes, though, they are the same.

Anybody got a bead on mags for these guns?
I'm interested, but I never buy a gin with less than ten mags at my disposal, and I haven't seen magazines for the P6 anywhere.
Steve

From what I hear, chris in va, the earlier P6s had problems feeding hollowpoints...the ones with serial numbers starting before the letter "K" in the alphabet. From what I hear on teh Internets, the P6s with serial numbers starting with K or later in the alphabet are better for feeding HPs.

steveracer,

TopGunSupply gets them in in batches. Go to their site and click the button on the item page to get an email notification when they are back in stock. Once you get an email, go order immediately....they will run out in a few hours. $39

Rumor has it there will be aftermarket mags available from reputable manufacturers in the future.

The dreaded ProMags work fine...I tried to create problems with 2 of them and couldn't. $20
