I'm looking for a company that has a good reputation in Texas that I could contact about polishing and re-bluing my Mak. I thank you for any help that you may give me.

I find it hard to believe that there is no one that re-blues guns in Texas!

I'm sure there must be someone out there, but in my neck of the woods there is nobody I would recommend. The only one i know of around here is a complete hack with his work. I wouldn't trust him to buff up an apple. You might try sending it to Mel Doyle in Idaho. He does about all his business by UPS and does a large volume of bluing. He's been doing it for many years and does good work.

I would contact Shilen Rifles, Inc. in Ennis, TX. When I had them rebarrel an action, they blued the action and barrel and it was a very nice job. I don't think that they do their own bluing, so I would ask them who they use/recommend.

You have Sledgehammer gunsmith in Jacksonville Texas, I have no clue on how to get a hold of him.
There used to be one in Mesquite Texas, no name I can give you.

There is a retired smith/machinists in Colleyville with the last name Jones, Johnson, Brown or something like that. I lost his card. Only smith I ever used without drama of some kind.
