I dis-assembled my Uberti Carbine to do some stoning and to reblue(did I say that?) the frame after I port it. The parts are hardened properly but NONE of the internal surfaces of the frame are polished and still have the casting finish (now The "Millenium" (sic) Finish?) I cannot believe they didn't at least clean off the casting finish. Guess I need to go get some nail files at the grocery. This carbine is 14 years old. Has Uberti cleaned up their act?
Any suggestions as to what to use to polish the inner surfaces of the Carbine frame?
That is one thing I noticed on my Euroarms '58 pistol was that the interior surfaces were polished slick before the blueing process. Are they all that way or did I luck out?
