Ugliest pistol ever!

My vote goes to the British Webley & Scott 1913 semi-automatic
pistol.

The Springfield XD is the finest polymer pistol on the market. To knock it for it's looks is kinda silly, as most all polymer pistols lack in that department. In reliability, build-quality, function, and ergonomics, it outdoes its counterparts by a wide margin.

If anyone out there was put off after picking up a Glock, try an XD. You won't be disappointed. They got the grip right.

Cobray makes this

Cobray derringer d 45/410 pistol

"What engineer thinks a pistol with the words "Grip Zone" is a good thing?"

The one that left engineering for the marketing department.

"What engineer thinks a pistol with the words "Grip Zone" is a good thing?"

His last effort, "FRONT TOWARD ENEMY", seemed to go over pretty well ...

My vote goes to the PHP MV9.

To me it looks like Megatron got stuck as he began to transform to robot form, or a Beretta 92 & Walther P-38 suffered a head-on collision.

I cant believe no one has mentioned the Cat 9 yet.

Oh, my PHP MV-9 is not ugly. It's exotic!
You can talk about your Glocks, XD's, and Cobrays, but have you seen a Rogak-18 ?

Gun Master

Indeed the Rojack P18 was not only a horrible rendition of the Steyr GB it was the very definition of the term "Jamomatic".

The sillier thing is trying to claim the Springfield XD is the finest polymer on the market....not by a long shot.

Probably not an engineer's idea, though it certainly may have been. More likely someone from marketing or an outside style consultant made that one up.

Someone mentioned the Ruger P series. I always liked the way mine looks. I've owned an XD-40 service since 2007. It is a good gun. I don't know if it is any better or worse than the other polymer service pistols out there but it works. The newer XD models do seem to get more & more tacticooled out. It probably seems silly more than ugly to me.

I don't know what is ugliest though it may very well be the Nambu. I do know that even if I initially don't like how a gun looks if I pick it up & shoot & it works well for me it instantly becomes more attractive.

I bought a pair of Walther PPX's about a month ago, 9mm and 40. They are far from good looking, but it feels great in the hand, very accurate, 100% reliable and the size tames the recoil.

For $335 out the door....I'm all in!

Not sure if it's exactly "ugly" but it's certainly weird looking

Although super cool feature wise, for it's time.

And since we're talking French guns - I know this one is not a pistol, but I always considered it one of the ugliest looking weapons made in the past 100 years.

Grip angle is one thing, but I found the bore axis to be quite a bit higher than either the Glock or the M&P. I don't care for the ergonomics of the Glock, but I'd take a Glock over an XD.

Still love the gun shop gurus who claim the Springfield is better because it's American... guess they were too busy trying to read "Grip Zone" and missed "Made in Croatia".

Personally, I'd take a Diamondback DB9FS over the Springfield XD.
