UHAUL can bite me!

    It looks as if I may be moving my firearms (& my other possessions, BTW) to Houston in the near future. I was on UHAUL's website & discovered that they will not rent ANY trailer to someone using a Ford Explorer as the tow vehicle. Oddly enough, the Mercury Mountaineer is still okay. A call to their 800 number revealed that this was a 'corporate decision'. No other information was available.
    Yeah, this is not really gun related, but I needed to vent..... :cuss:

    Consider yourself lucky.

    After years of family squabbling over control of the company and little investment in it, the quality of the U-Haul rental fleet is dangerously substandard. I base that on my own experience with them and lots of investigative news reports I've seen also.

    Rent a Ryder instead.

    google "uhaul horror stories" (or ryder)

    Rumor is that penske isn't bad. People have ryder stories as well, but they tend to be not as bad as uhell.
