I did an intense cleaning of 3 of my 380s with my Elma 150h ultrasonic cleaner. I used Mpro7 for 15 minutes under heat and then after a quick scrub with a toothbrush another 15 minutes with L&R ultrasonic lubricant. Excellent combination. This really cleans everything out that you cannot get to. The guns come out hot to the touch and yes you need to remove grease and other soft stuff. In the future I will use this combination more often to really get in there and scrub out all of the gunk.

I find the ultrasonics make the guns look like brand new when you are done. All of the little crevasses come out immaculate and there is no corner junk. Even the sights are nice and sharp now.

The Elma 150h is not cheap (I was actually shocked at the new price of one) but boy do they work great. If you ever get a chance to ultrasonic a handgun like this, take the chance. It will really impress you at how clean a gun can be.

Also I noticed that the copper in the barrel came off in little strips. This was one of my older 380's and i did not even realize it was coppered up. It is not now.
