Do you mean ultrasonic cleaner? Ultrasonic cleaners don't tumble, there is a transducer that shoots ultrasonic waves that clean the cases by causing little bubbles to form and explode against the case walls.
They clean pretty good and they also clean the insides of the case and the primer pockets. Unless you use a cleaning solution, the bigger HF US cleaner only does about 15-20 cases at a time (three 8 minute cycles). I prefer the 5 pound vibratory tumbler and crushed walnut ($17/50 pounds). I don't need clean insides or clean pockets, just the soot and dirt knocked off. The vib tumbler makes the cases shiny enough for me too.
The cleaner is useful for cleaning parts such as 1911 frames and AR-15 bolts, but for case cleaning, it is too much baby sitting for me (have to reset the timer every 8 minutes, then rinse and dry the cases). I prefer to simply dump the cases into the vib tumbler, set a lamp timer to turn it off in a few hours, then dump the cases into a separator and be finished.
