The NRA just solicited me for a donation to help fight Kofi and his corrupt buddies, to stop the threat against our gun rights. Is this the best organization to sent money to for this cause?

The age old scenario of Hillary B-tch in the White House and “give all to the UN†Bill as the head of the UN scares the hell out of me. :cuss: Gun rights aren’t the only thing we have to lose if this comes to pass.

yeah, I'm certain her first act as President will be to turn us over to the Blue Helmets and start an civil war in the U.S. That makes a lot of sense. Maybe after 8 years of that B-tch Bush, it'll take UN intervention to clean up the rivers and lakes of mercury, but I don't see them rolling in APCs to lock down the country and take my Rugers. If they do, they better pack a lunch, but for the life of me, I don't see this happening. Maybe I don't read enough NRA panick propaganda, but it ain't from lack of them sending it to me, along with asking for my personal donation. Sorry, I don't donate to organazations that will donate my money to the GOP so they can curtail my other civil rights.

Assorted barren wombs from the 13 states that the US Fish and Wildlife Service has already told people not to eat fish from. Do you live in one of them? Are you sure?
I'll be laughing last, when your kids are sterile, and laugh I will.

As for the NRA stopping Koki and Co. from negating our RKBA. I've better ways to spend my money to keep that from occuring. Like GOA, JPFO and another load of .308 to practice with.

Could you name the states and tell us who the President was when all this mercury was dumped. Gee, Clinton didn't fix it so it must be Bush's fault

Much of the mercury is from mining operations in the 19th century.

Gold sticks to mercury so it was used extensively to help extract the precious metal out of streams and rivers.

Bush is working to clean it up but not as much as the greens want.

Here's the way I see it.

It's called fundraising. To raise funds, you must convince people to give you their money. Duh. Now the NRA isn't outright lying, but they're exaggerating. They always do. Because they want to raise funds.

However, you need to look at the big picture. There are real and credible threats to the RKBA in this country; that much should be obvious. There is no other organization out there that is as well equipped to handle these threats as the NRA. Therefore, to me, eschewing the NRA from your fund-giving plan just because it said something you didn't like is a little bit bogus.

No organization made up of 4 million+ members is going to issue press releases that you agree with 100%, all the time. That's just how things work.

I dunno. There's a world of difference between a U.N. edict banning private ownership of firearms and actually enforcing that edict, in the U.S., anyway. I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Nope, I won't name them. If you are worried about it, you can look it up. IF you aren't, don't. Actually it was making compliance with the mercury guidlines (set by Clinton as msndatory) on a "voluntary" basis that is such a sell out. For all practical purposes he elimanated those guidlines, because he took all the teeth out of them. Nice try with the old blame Clinton stand by though. Looks like after 4 years of Bush you jokers would be off that.

There's plenty to worry about.

If the UN adopts gun control measures, it becomes far easier for 'statist' government officials to adopt the same regulations here. "Just joining the rest of the world in disarming for the safety of all mankind."

The UN tried this once before at the beginning of Bush's first term. They had a 'council on small arms', and wanted to adopt a resolution condemning private ownership of small arms (worldwide!!)

The delegate Bush appointed to that committee would have none of that, and the final resolution they adopted just condemned illegal use of small arms. "whew!"

The NRA may not be perfect, but they're the best lobbying group we gun owners have. Others that are good include GOA (Gun Owners of America).

The NRA seems to have made a difference in a number of key elections in the last few cycles. I believe in them, and am an active member.

Here's what we are talking about:
1. Outlawing private ownership of all firearms.
2. Suspension and/or revocation of the Fourth Amendment, and warrantless searches in order to seize all existing weapons.
3. An army large enough to essentially roll from one coast to the other, searching every home, building, and vehicle along the way.
4. No legal challenges upheld to slow the process.
5. No physical resistance.
6. No smuggling through the notoriously porous American borders.
7. No hiding of weapons/ammo, or all such weapons and ammo searched for.
8. All of this accomplished by U.N. forces, or American forces who take orders from U.N. Command, and do not resist this search/seizure.

Yeah, right.

Not even in Billary's dreams could this happen.

You mean, the guidelines he set on his LAST day in office?

Still hate it that he got a BJ, and your wife refuses, huh?
Can this joker get banned? I mean really, that's the deal with spouting this kind of nonsense?

Started out on the shoulder and swerved into the ditch. Never really quite reached the High Road, did we?
