I had a great morning Saturday. Went to the gun show in Raleigh, and scored a Kimber Team Match II. My first Kimber:)

I got it home, cleaned the shippin' oil off of it, put the shootin' oil on it and went to the shed to load up a few hundred .45s for a trip to the range on Sunday. Got about 200 loaded before the phone rang. "Hey! This is the boss. You gotta get on a plane in the morning and go to Indiana until Thursday. Have a good trip". Wha??! Did that really just happen? So much for the great morning. So now here I am in a hotel in South Bend, wishing I was home, while the new Kimber sits in the safe.:(

Jeeze I wish I could learn to have patience. Anuhow, I have evenings off. Anybody know of any good shops in South Bend/Mishawaka?

Got a brand new Kimber and he's crying like a baby

Ya know what? You're absolutely right. R. Lee Ermey would be throwing a box of tissues at me by now. I'll try again...

Hey fellers, I can't wait to get home from this trip to try out the new Kimber! Yes... yes, that feels more right. Thanks, Mike.

But I STILL wish I had more patience.

I know how you feel. I've got 2(!) rifles that I picked up last week and haven't gotten a chance to take out to the range yet. I'm hoping that I'll have a chance sometime this week...

Hello friends and neighbors // I feel the same way when I buy a handgun out of state and have to wait on the transfer.

Some times the store does have a range and will let me shoot a few rounds after purchase.

Rifles (higher than handgun power) and shotguns are the real problem,
I have an hour drive to shoot them.

The best place to sight the rifles in or shoot skeet is where we hunt.
The best time of year for constant shooting is summer, 90-100+ this year, so some years I have more safe queens than others.

Congrats on the Kimber and a Nod to you for not playing sick so you could shoot it.:D

My Smith & Wesson 625 carries the name of Safe Queen.
=( Sucks I know, But I don't have a lot of .45 ACP,
I'm a 9mm shooter.

Dang! Now see? Why can't I think on the fly like the rest of you guys can? I should have thought of that. Sick days were made for situations like this. Some people waste perfectly good ones on days when they're not feeling well.

And thanks for the link, Jed. I'll check them out.

Don't feel bad about it. If I was in your shoes I'd be stamping my little feet and yelling at the top of my lungs to go home RIGHT NOW so I can play with my new toy!!
