I have handled several Bauer 25s, and own a few. I understand that the Bauer is a very close copy of the Baby Browning, but has the disassembly barrel lug cuts on the other side of the slide.

A recent buy has the cuts on the left (non-ejection) side. I had trouble disassembling it for inspection and cleaning. Then I realized the difference.

Has anyone seen this in a Bauer 25 before? I'd like to know more about this.

THR rocks.

I don't have a Bauer in front of me at the moment, but the Baby Browning (not the Model 1906) has the cutout on the side opposite the ejection port; in other words, looking from the muzzle end, the barrel is turned counterclockwise for disassembly. AFAIK, the Bauers are the same.

The Browning 1906 and the Colt Vest Pocket are the opposite.
