It had been a while since I shot my Bauer .25. It is a stainless copy of the Browning Baby .25 auto pistol. I bought it a few years ago, carried it a few times, and shot it a few more times. The 50 round box of .25ACP I bought when I got the gun has about 15 rounds left.

My 11 year-old son wanted to add it to the list of guns he's fired so I took it to the range along with a lot of bigger guns.
My son broke a clay target with one shot at about two yards. I finished off the clip and broke two more targets at three yards. I shot one handed and held low, at first, for some reason.

I had been thinking about selling the little beast, but now I think I'll keep it and buy another box of ammo.

Nothing like renewing old friendships! Those little 25's can be alot of fn to shoot! Go ahead and buy a couple boxes of ammo for when you feel friendly!

If I ever get some money i can burn, I wouldn't mind a .25...they look so cute! :D I bet they're fun to shoot too....too bad a little expensive (ammo).

I have a couple .25s. In fact I have owned at least one 25 since I bought my first one on my 21st birthday. They are a lot of fun to shoot. I don't take mine out much either, but that doesn't mean that you have to sell it. They usually shoot a lot better than most people give them credit for. Most people imediately dismiss any thought of accuracy, mostly due to old wive's tales. I own a Colt Junior that I have fired for groups off a bench/sandbags. It wasn't a target gun, but I shot some pretty good groups with it. The first .25 I ever owned was a Raven. This was years before on-line gun chat forums so I hadn't yet read all the negative crap about them; I just went out and shot it. It ran flawlessly. I turned 21 and wanted to exercise my right to buy a handgun. I didn't have much money, so I bought a Raven. I refinished the grips and bought a belt holster for it. Not a concealment holster, but a holster you wear on the outside of your belt on your strong side. One day I was out shooting with some friends and I set up five shotgun shells on a split rail fence. I didn't think anything of it, but one of the guys I was with started going nuts. He said, if you can hit those with that .25, I will give you $20. Again, I had never read an on-line gun forum, I had just shot the gun and took it for what my experience told me it was capable of. I KNEW I could hit the shotgun shells and preceeded to knock down all five with five shots. I almost couldn't take the $20 because it was such a huge sum of money. Just a couple years ago, I had out a .25 with one of my current shooting buddies. He bought into the whole idea that small guns couldn't be accurate and the idea that barrel length determines accuracy. I did the same thing; I started off pointing out shotgun shells and hitting them. Not always on the first shot, but always within a couple shots. But, his mind couldn't be changed and I believe that when all was said and done he just couldn't allow himself to buy in to the idea that small .25s can be as accurate as your skills will allow. Pulling off stunts like that are reason enough for me to own one, or two.

Never thought I'd want a .25 until I fixed an old Colt vest pocket model ZING!

The mouse that roared indeed.

I bought a Berretta 950 Jetfire when I was 18 in very early 60's. It was my first handgun purchase, I carried it in Atlanta at college(and other more Rural areas) . I loved RWS(GECO) ammo early on as it was cheap and HOT. .25's ARE accurate , I have had old Colt's but my favorite is an Astra/Colt Junior. Very Accurate. Baby Brownings are cool too, I just don't feel good about carrying striker fired guns loaded in the chamber- this is where my Berretta Mod 20 shines! :)

I bought my ex a Bauer .25 before she became my ex. I think she ended up selling it to one of her sycophant co-workers after we split. It may be difficult to explain sometime why her initials were stamped on the backstrap (at my request, done by the gunsmith I bought it from).

Dang I miss the $150 I spent on it.

Regards,
Rabbit.

I've got a Seecamp .25 that was once my BUG. It's brother was given to an ex. No regrets...she was worth it. I hope it serves her well.

I don't carry it but I've learned about parting with firearms. I've regretted all but one.
