Is there anyone else who uses this powder for pretty much all of their pistols. For my 500 S&W I use Lil Gun but for 9, 40 and 45 I use it. Anyone else?

I personally don't even try to use the same powder over multiple calibers but that said, I've used Universal in 9MM, .40 and .45 with good results and if that's what you want to do, it'll work just fine.

Oh yeah, I've worked up some good loads with Universal in .32ACP, .38Spcl, .357Mag, & 45ACP. It's not always the best powder for a particular bullet or bullet weight in a given cartridge - but it does seem to find one or two bullets in the calibers I shoot that it likes.

I agree with D. Manley.

It is a good powder for across the board use, but I only use it in .40, where it really impressed me vs some others I tried, for what I want out of it.

If I was picking "one powder" it would be higher up on the list than several others touted for all around use.

I use it for .380, 9mm, 9mm Largo, .40, and .45 with good results. Is it the best for all of those calibers, probably not. I am using either Berry's or Rainier plated bullets in all the above calibers and load using the starting loads for FMJ per Hodgdon's web site.

I just started reloading and picked it for 9mm on several recommendations. It has pretty much zero muzzle flash, only saw a couple sparks out my CZ's barrel. Worked fine with my 1.05oal TC rounds.
