As a member of the newly minted University of Florida Pistol Team, i wanted to share the news of our first match with you all. Over the weekend, we drove 16 hours to compete in the Southeast Championship SPP match. For those of you that dont know, the SPP is a collegiate league that is essentially Steel Challenge. 4 Standardized Stages. We scraped this team together in very little time, and due to scheduling and ammo scarcity, we hadnt gotten alot of practice in before the match, other than a local match used to form the squads. I made the second slot in the first squad. First Squad shot centerfire, and second squad shot rimfire. We ended up getting second place in centerfire, and 3rd place in rimfire, losing all the better spots to Cadet Teams from Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets (who have had far more practice, with their underground range on campus ) Anyway, here are some pictures and a video of the team shooting the stage "Go Fast"
As a new team, we are limited on funding, and are currently desperate for sponsors. If you, or your company, is interested in sponsoring our team with gear (jerseys, timers, ammo, components, glasses, ear pro) or money, we would really appreciate it. Message me for more details
Im the second shooter in the Lineup
