In the third picture, it appears there is a line around the cylinder, perhaps where an extension has been added? This might be a lengthened 1860. Pure speculation on my part.
I am thinking someone tried to make something like Pietta's "pepper box".
Or,
Someone was trying to make a "magnum" .44 revolver by building the long cylinder and per haps some sor to water table extension and longer arbor, suddenly came to their senses and ditched the cylinder.
or
Someone thought putting two old cylinders from something together would make an interesting paper weight and something to goof BP experts with.
There are no provisions for Colt type pins on the heel of the cylinder, and, the heel is far too rounded for it to be a Colt.
The anticipation notches are longer than any I've seen on any C&B revolver, and Remmies don't have anticipation notches.
I'm thinking like kBob, somebody tried to make up a "pepperbox" type of C&B revolver.
And lost the frame/grip.....
