Unknown Grips

Can anyone out there help me identify these ? I was told they may be for a French M1915 CSRG. Thanks, Mark

Can't help, other than to say 'grips don't fall under NFA' and duplicate threads are frowned upon.

They don't look to be the right proportions for the Chauchat, and IIRC, the Chauchat grip attachments are of the split nut type rather than screws.

Incidentally, there is a pretty good article on that gun in the Dec. 1 edition of Shotgun News. Oddly, the author, Peter Kokalis, pretty much condemns long recoil operation out of hand, probably not recalling that the old Browning Auto 5 and a zillion clones work very well using long recoil, as did the Remington 8 and 81 autoloading rifles.

I thought they were for a old military NFA machine gun, Thats why I posted on here to see if anyone recognized them. Sorry, Mark
