unknown strap/harness identification help?

found these in a AR case I bought recently. Can anyone ID what they are/might be for?

Look like the M16 slings that go around the for end and butt, rather than through the swivels.....mmmm lemme find a pic.

Well, that's pretty cool. Thanks for the info. At least the belonged in an AR case then.

Any advantage to these vs other varieties? or just one more style to choose from.

It keeps the rifle upright when released. Using the swivels it would tend to flip upside down if carried across the chest.
