I got this delivered this morning:

Had this completed lower for two years now just sitting there. But it's almost complete. Looks so good laid out.

And here it is together.

I should have just bought a DPMS. It's a DPMS lower and a DPMS upper and a DPMS stock, lol. But I put the lower together myself which was a good learning experience. And it's silly to do a collapsible stock because I plan on scoping it.

I already have a couple more planned out. Figure you have to have one for every situation right! The next ones I'm going to piece together over time, buy a couple pieces a month and do it all myself. Really looking forward to it.

I'd like one with open sights(might do a 6.8).
I'd like one in 300 blk out too, and top it with a suppressor. That's definitely something for me to work towards.
Then one setup for some long range type play...either a 6.5 type caliber or a fast twist rate 223. It might be better for reloading to keep everything 223, it's pretty versatile.

This AR will be seeing some coyote killing duty come Feb. Can't wait :)

Nothing wrong with a collapsible stock and a scope, though I'm not a fan of that particular stock.

I came in here expecting to see that you ordered a Fleshlight, but yeah - that's a pretty sweet rig!

All joking aside, that's a spectacular display of patience you put on and I'm glad you got it all put together. I agree with Helotaxi in that, if you find the right one, there's nothing wrong with going collapsible on a scoped target rig. I suggest the Magpul CTR. I finally got around to putting one on my bench prairie dog AR and it is ROCK solid. No slop in it whatsoever and I can hold on target just fine with it.
