Looks great!
Pietta wedges are difficult to remove the first time, but get easier after that.
Fill in the slot in the hammer face with JB weld, put on a set of Treso nipples & yer ready to smoke 'em up!

I'm a huge Remmie fan...still, nothing but nothing [except the '61 Navy, or 1862 Police] even come close to the 1860 Colt, for shear balance and beauty.

I don't get filling in the hammer slot with JB Weld. I know it's against PC safety, but they have the colt type pins between the cylinders. I use them if I'm carrying so I can have six shots, i do the same with the slots in my Remingtons. If your not going to load six , just lower the hammer on an empty chamber.

I just think filling in the hammer slot ruins the option of loading six if you want to.

On some replicas the pin notches in the hammer are too sharp, and will actually ''pluck'' spent caps, depositing them right down into the action, through the hammer's slot in the frame, causing the dreaded ''Colt Freeze''. Folks who don't know how to unsharpen the edges of the pin slot [useing a jeweler's file] routinely just plug it all up with JB Weld. A more elegant solution is a ''cap shield'', but that's more work than I want to do, when simply deburring the pin slot in the hammer will usually suffice.
