Upstate NY State Range Indian Lakes

I'm trying to find a place to shoot up in the Adirondacks for a couple of days.
Simple Internet searches led me to what is apparently a nice range near Indian Lake on Chain Lakes Road.
Has anyone been to this facility? Are there range fees? Operating hours that I should be aware of? Any nice places to stay that won't require a full weeklong rental?

I currently live in NYS, above NYC, so there shouldn't be any transit issues with other localities.

IIRC, the state land up by Moose River is mostly fair game. It's where we went when I was growing up, free and theres plenty of sand berms for backstops.
