US Made FNC available!

I've been kicking this over in my head and just can't make up my mind. I could put it on a credit card and probably pay it off with my tax return come spring. I'm trying to find out if there are going to be more of these after this group buy or if this is it. I'm also wondering how many registered FNC sears are floating around with no gun to mate to.

If there are 500+ FNC sears with no gun, then prices probably aren't going to change much if no more then these 250 or so rifles get made. It seems like a good investment then with FNC sears running about $3k, seeing how the price of everything else full auto is skyrocketing.

But what if ORF is going to start selling these on a regular basis and there are only 100 or so "free" sears? In that case, by the time I pay the gun off and save up $3k to buy a sear they are probably going to be $10k. In which case I've paid $2300 for an AK that takes AR mags and has a thumb safety - I would have been better off just saving for a LL for my AR.

Maybe I just need to go bump a few mags tommorow and remind myself how ridiculous it is to pay this much for an extra detent on the safety. :banghead:

From what I understand, 3,000 transferable FNC sears were released from the estate of Mr. S of S&H arms (sorry, don't know his name), but I don't know how long ago that was. Either way, there should be a very high number of homeless sears.

I'm not sure how many rifles ORF plans on making. I guess it depends on how many kits they can find.

This is a good thread to read. http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=64&t=65170&page=1

There's some good information on it there.

I still kick myself for selling my original, NIB, pre-ban FNC para! I only paid $800 for it NIB in '92 because the guy who sold it just wanted to clear out some of his ARs!

Stupid, stupid, stupid stupid! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
