Used Dan Wesson 1911. Just got it today

This is a borrowed photo of almost my gun. Mine has Wilson Combat magazines and coco bolo grips as ell not shown on the photo. Otherwise, the same. Its been shot a little, not much $500.00 +Tax

A full size 5" stainless steel frame and roundtop slide, with dovetail mount adjustable target rear sight, dovetail mount target tactical front sight, match fitted barrel, bushing and link, 2-piece full length recoil spring guide rod, Chip McCormick (or equivalent) match grade trigger, serrated extended thumb safety, high ride beavertail, serrated slide release and checkered extended mag release, match grade sear and hammer, fitted extractor, lowered and relieved ejection port, beveled mag well, coco bolo double diamond checkered grips, serrated steel mainspring housing (not plastic!) 3.5 lb. trigger job and laser engraving.

Looks like a fine example of the breed.
Not a bad price for such a gun.

I'd like to read a full range report after you put about 500 rounds through it. How's the accuracy?

I've had pretty good luck with my Dan Wesson 1911. Mine's a "Patriot" model.

I have a sub-100 serial #'d Pointman Major in 10mm. It is by far my favorite pistol that I have ever owned or fired. Amazing accuracy, superb fit & finish. This gun feeds every type of JHP ammo that I can throw at it, and never even hesitates to function flawlessly.
IMHO...Dan Wesson offers the best bang for the buck in the 1911 category. Many custom features at a not so custom price. Also...If you have any issues with this gun....go to the Dan Wesson forum at 1911.net . Bob Serva....the president of Dan Wesson Firearms is a regular over there, and will bend over backwards to resolve any problems you may have.

No. It's not a duty gun. But, I thought it would look good with some of my gear when I took the pic.
