Slick Honey

It was originally developed and sold by Arlo Englund for lubricating the internals of bicycle suspension forks. It will not harm seals or wash out easily. According to the jar I have, it's a high temp grease.

It's light for a grease and very slick. I smeared a little on the striker plate of a door that wouldn't close easily. I wiped the striker plate clean after lubing it and the door still closed as if it were greased. Two years later, that door is still closing properly.

Anyway,

I started using it on my P32 when I bought it almost a year ago and also use it on the internals of my other guns. On autos, I use it on the rails, where the slide rides the hammer, and the guide rod. On revolvers, I put a dab on the trigger and hammer sear surfaces. It doesn't appear to attract dirt anymore than than the Militec-1 I also use. As a bonus, when the gun gets dirty, I wipe off the crud and it's still lubed well enough to function properly. I don't think I'd use this for a very dirty environment, but it has worked well for my CCW and Range guns.

Here's where you can get some:

Scroll down to the "Buzzy's" section. I don't know the story, but it looks like Englund is not the manufacturer or they changed names, etc. I bought my 4oz bottle 5 years ago. A little goes a long way...
