I lost control & put this pistol on layaway Wednesday (for my Christmas present :D ). If you have any interest in a superior quality single action, check them out at Alex Hamilton's site: http://www.tenring.com/FirearmsSingleActions.html They aren't cheap but they aren't astronomical, and Doug Turnbull's work is legend. I need to join a 12-step program...

About two dozen new, engraved and unique USFA single actions have been posted with a letter or Roman numeral prefix. They will probably be the "last" of the excellent Doug Turnbull single actions built on the superb USFA single action body's. If you have ever wanted to own one of the finest "American made" six-guns ever produced at an excellent price, don't hesitate, for this is probably going to be one of those, "I had the chance and should have listened moments" in the firearms industry! The lettering on top of the barrel is "TURNBULL MFG" "BLOOMFIELD, NY" or "United States Firearms" or a combination of the two. The patent dates on the frame are the standard early Colt "two line."

SAA in 45 Colt, 5 1/2" barrel, color cased frame, loading gate and hammer, carbona blue (a premium finish) barrel and grip and a nicely engraved Carbona blue cylinder. The grips are standard hard, black rubber... $1500.

Among those that buy and collect the finest quality guns, there is a saying...

If you paid too much don't worry, it won't be long before what you paid is the current value - and after that it will keep going up. ;)

Beautiful firearm, I too am jealous! I looked at the web site mentioned, some very, very nice revolvers, wondering which firearm I can peddle to get one.
