During WWII and Korea, what cases (if any) were issued for Garands and where might I find them for sale?

...?...I do know Cheaper than Dirt are selling Garand an Carbine soft cases that look like USGI issue...

Good luck finding an "original"........as they would no doubt be a collectors item and probably cost a pretty penny.

I have one of the re-po's and it satisfies my needs.

I've thought about those cases. They look cool, I've just not made the decision yet. When I go to the range I use a hard plastic two gun case to protect the guns. Still, the USGI type case would have a certain style...

May keep an eye on the CMP for sale forums. There was a guy selling M-1950's a while back, which is kind of sort of a genuine case. (They are what the guns would go in for airborne operations.)

Fulton Armory might have what you are looking for. Good quality repro GI cases with brass zippers. Garand / M14 size = $22.46 unlined, $35.96 fleece lined. I use their fleece lined for my CMP rifles and am well pleased with the product.

Quick delivery and good people to deal with. I have no connection with them other than being a customer for several years.

Regards, Al
