USGI helmet...

Does anyone know where I could get a standard USGI helmet other than GSA or EBay or short of enlisting? I am too old now lol but I am kind of looking for one for several reasons, mainly a prop for photography.

If it's just for photography and not for ballistic protection, trying checking out some airsoft sites. They sell replicas that are exactly like MICH or ACH helmets in every way except they are plastic and cost a fraction of the money.

That's a good idea and I thought about that but the way I figure it if I am going to pay $150 for a plastic one then I might as well put that towards a real one but that is just me.

The newer one is called the ACH, but I think that may not be issued anymore... I know there were some problems with it. I think that the German kevlar issue helmet is the same as the PASGT...

Is the one from cheaper than dirt the real deal? It seems kind of odd to me that it would only be $99 when compared to some of the other ballistic stuff out there. Does anyone know for sure about these?
