I bought a used Kel Tec Sub 2000 that uses B92 magazines. My pistols are Sig 226's and I am converting the Kel Tec to use Sig mags with factory parts that cost less than $10 to do the conversion.

The Kel Tec came with 10 brand new mec gar hi-cap magazines. I have done research on the internet that has told me B92 mags can easily be converted to be used in the Sig 226 with total reliability. I could not locate a source with pics and perhaps details and measurements for the mag catch mods.

If anyone has this information I would sincerely appreciate it or any other experience with this mag swap.

this is an aside, but probably shared with lots of us - wouldn't it be nice to have one universal set of mags that fit everything ?

Yes it would. Life would be so much easier and cheaper.

I read somewhere the SIG 226 was originally designed to use the Beretta 92magazines and it is easy to modify the B92 mags to fit perfectly in the Sig
226. All that is needed to change the Kel tech from B92 to Sig 226 magazines is a mag catch and spring.

Visually they look almost idenditcal and it apeears the mag catch needs a little dremel work to make it fit. Before I try to figure this out on my own
I was hoping there were some accurate and reliable insturctions floating around the web or someone with direct experience.

My SIGS fire 100% reliable with the cheapest repro aftermarket SIG mags made, so this can't be too hard to make happen and pick up another 10 high cap mags for both the Kel Tech and my SIG's.
