With the recent discussion of case trimming for revolvers, it occurred to me that I could resume use of the Redding spacer rings I have if my case lengths are different by exactly the thickness of the spacer. I have pricey RCBS Cowboy die sets for every cartridge they offer and load lead bullets in 32SWL/32 H&R/327 FM, 38/357, 44/44 Mag that could use the spacers. I would set the dies for the shortest cartridge's case length and then add the spacer for the longer relative.
I was having to do too much tweaking between cartridges before, not focused on why that might be necessary. Then I got into case trimming for more consistent crimps and less tweaking.
