I have a couple thousand magnum sp primers that I got stuck with during the shortages. Can I use them to make 38 spl if I only shoot them out of a gun designed for 357 mag.? The gun is an EAA Windicator. The powder would be Bullseye (probably 3.1 grs.). I might also use Trail Boss if I can find a load on the interwebs that can be cross-referenced. The bullet would be a LaserCast 158 gr. swc. I was thinking that, given the lightning fast burn of Bullseye, the primer can't really do much to the preasure spike. I'm new to this, so if it's a dumb question please forvgive me.

Yes you can use them.

Your suggested load is nowhere near max and the use of mag primers will make no difference atall.

The only time you would have a legitimate concern is if you were already at a suggested MAXIMUM load using standard primers.
Then you should back off a little.
