We just got word that we will have a certified H&K Instructor that will be coming out and giving a FREE MP-5 introduction clinic Saturday morning. It will cover the design and function of the gun as well as how to shoot it.
I will be doing the same thing for the 7.62X54R belt fed guns that afternoon.
Wes, tell your boss that it is for your further gun related education. We're going to have the following full auto PKs, DPs, RPDs, PPsHs, MP5s, M16s, and a half a dozen suppressed weapons, and a bunch of SBRs and SBSs.
Corey, I'll post it here. Probably most folks don't know how to get there.
From Salt Lake County, get onto Redwood Road and head South. Go over the mountain, past Camp Williams, and into Utah County. Keep going south.
You will pass through one light. (Lehi, where you would turn to the FARM). Keep heading south. Approximately 10 miles from that intersection is where we're going.
Head south through Saratoga Springs. At mile marker 21, look off to the west and you will see a large valley. There are two dirt roads heading up to the top part of the valley.
The one to the north is easier, but you will still want a vehicle with some clearance. The southern road is steeper, and pretty rutted. I wouldn't recommend doing that road without a 4x4 with good clearance.
We'll be up on the top portion. You can park at the bottom and walk up, but it is a good steep walk.
Well to set the mood. You fellas need to wander over to youtube and use the following search term. Super M60. You get to watch 850 rouds fired with 1 single pull of the trigger in a time period of 1min. and 45 seconds.
Hell, if I had a tent, I'd just head straight down there after work (I get off at midnight) and camp too.
Actually, scratch that. I lived in a tent for four months in freaking Mississippi. My idea of roughing it now is staying at the Super 8 instead of the Ramada.
Those of you that did not make it really missed out. We had a big bonfire last night that we sat around and laughed our butts off! Then today we had a few toys out on the line. 3 PKM's, an M-79, a few M-4's, a few subguns and a metric butt-load of suppressed weapons in addition to the usual semi auto stuff. Next time we will have even more guns out there since we have a bunch of people trained up on them now.
Maybe next year we can have some guys pair up and run machinegun crew competitins with the PKM's and other belt feds.
Anyway, here is a taste of what you guys missed out on.
