utah weekday shoot in the near future?

Anyone up for getting out on a Tues or Wed in the near future near the SL Valley? Maybe some bunny-hunting SW of Utah Lake?
I know rifle-deer season kicks off next week, maybe after that?

If we can plan on a short notice event then great, I'd hate to plan a trip then have weather like we have had the last two days,(nights) etc. What do you have in mind anyway? plinking? pistol? rifle? shotgun?, a little bit of everything? Wait a week or so after the deer hunt ends and lets make a day of it!

I'm up for it once impact gets my 1911 in.
Are there any "ranges" out here that are just a pit in the middle of nowhere? Down in AZ we had a few where it was just trash in a pit for targets, and was wondering if UT had anything like that.

Welcome to Utah, you must be new to these here parts?!?
There are a few such places, as well as some areas to shoot.
From SLC go south on I-15 to the Hwy 73/Lehi exit. Go west. You'll hit Hwy 68, Camp Williams Rd. This is the area known as four corners, also. If you keep going west you'll end up near Dugway and Tooele.
Continuing on.....
Turn right on hwy 68 and go south. Go Past Saratoga springs a few miles you'll see a large area up on the hill to the right where several dirtroads go up a ravine. That area is a good area to shoot.
Keep going south to milemarker 8, and turn right along the telephone poles. About 1 mile in you are past the private property and end up on BLM land (over the cattle gaurd). Great area to camp and shoot.
