First let me say I'm an Uzi novice. I looked at an Uzi carbine with these markings.
Left side of receiver near rear sight. (Different than Group Ind.).
IMI - ISRAEL
UZI SEMI AUTO
.22/9MM/.45
IMPTR:NHM CO
SAC, CO
Serial number
Left side receiver, center top.
VECTOR ARMS, NSL, UT
Bottom rear of receiver, under buttstock (light, large stamp).
IMI-ISRAEL
NHM CO SAC CA
Also stamped with 22 (different small stamps) and serial number again.(Sarco pre-ban import?)
There are no markings anywhere on the right side of the receiver. Rear sight is marked "L", and "R" for windage.
It's my understanding that Vector Arms built Uzis on American made Group Ind. receivers. I find no references to these particular marks near the rear sight. Do the IMI Israel markings indicate Israeli made receiver? Who would have made, assembled, and/or imported this? Receiver pics for reference http://files.uzitalk.com/reference/pages/receivermarks.htm.
I enjoy looking up firearm info, but I got stumped by this one. Thanks in advance for any help.
