V-Max question.

I have an older (Right before vmax) loading manual from hornady. I was wondering, can Vmax bullets of .55 grains be loaded like regular 55 grain bullets? So any load for a .55 grain soft point would work for a V-max, because technically its a softpoint, correct?

Listed loads will be very close. Like any plastic tip bullet the V-max is a tad longer than regular SP bullets. Depending on your OAL that may require you to seat them a little deeper than a comprable SP. Other than that the loads should be OK.

Yes, I'll admit, I've used regular SP data for Vmax's before. Reduce and work up.
