I saw a very nice combo gun, a Valmet 412, in a gunshop recently. It was a O/U combo shotgun/rifle. Chambered in 12 gauge and 30-06. It appeared to be in near new condition, and looked like it would make a fine piece to carry while beating around in the woods. It is much better looking gun than the Savage combo guns I have seen. The asking price is $600.

Does anyone know anything about them? Is that a good price?

I'll give this a small bump LG - not myself knowing anything about that specifically. I do tho share your interest in anything that might be called a ''drilling''. Verstatility is the name of the game.

I shall hope someone knowledgeable on this can drop in and help.

Is this the same Valmet that makes the AK variants? If so I would suspect their combos to be of the same quality.

That's a good price, you won't find an clean one cheaper. Excellent guns! I Own a Savage marked one in .308 /12ga with an extra set of 12 ga. barrels. The combo Savage , without the extra barrel is worth $800 LNIB. I think the Valmet marked one is worth a little more.
