Value ? 10-5 S&W

A friend has a 10-5 in about 90% condition with a 5 in barrel that is tappered and pined, the cylinder is not recessed. He wanted me to inquire on the board as to its worth. I was guess in the sub 200 range but really don't have a clue and thought I would ask here. Any thoughts?

Around here a 10-5 in 90% finish and very good/excellent mechanically would be in the $200ish range and a 5" would have a small premium since you just don't see them that often. The premium for the 5" barrel would be $20 or so, so I would place the final value somewhere in the $200 area or just under for take home price. I would have a hard time passing one up for $200.

I'm afraid the days of sub 200$ K frames are gone here. I'd ask about 250 if I were to sell it here in Carolina.

By the way model 10s never had recessed cylinders.
