I JUST FOUND MY 870 WINGMASTER THAT MY DAD GAVE ME NEW IN THE MID 70'S...I NEED HELP ON DETERMINING THE VALUE. 28" VENT RIB WITH MODIFIED CHOKE, 2 3/4, SERIAL # STARTS WITH A "T" AND ENDS WITH A "V". THIS GUN IS ALL ORIGINAL JUST LIKE WHEN I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX. NO RUST, GOOD WOOD, OVERALL GREAT CONDITION. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

you see them in pawn shops all the time for $150-200(fair condition), mint condition will up that several dollars though. As usuall its worth what someone will pay for it, and shiny and clean always helps with that.

Rob, whether a person sells a gun they own is their business only. However, I can tell you from experience that if you sell a gun a parent gave you, you will regret it later in life.

From what I have seen at local gun shows a gun such as yours would be stickered somewhere in the $275 - $350 range. Specially if you have the box.

HTH,
Rob

There is no way I would sell this gun...I just am trying to nail down the value as I keep tabs on everything for insurance reasons. It is obviously priceless to me and will go on to my sons. What do you mean by "pottage" Dave?

In the Bible, Jacob talked his brother Esau into selling his birthright for " A mess of Pottage".

Pottage is gruel or soup.

Okay...I understand. I should have been a bit more explanatory when I asked for the value of the weapon. I have no need or desire to rid myself of this gun. I have had fellow troopers ask me about the finish and engraving on it and it made me curious. Thanks for the input...never to old to learn.
