I have three bolt action .22 rifles I recently received from a relative. I am curious as to the value of them. They all fire and function flawlessly with short, long, and long rifle ammo. They show very little wear for their age. Wondering if I should sell them or keep them for the family. The descriptions follow:
1. Remington Sportmaster 512, .22 Bolt action, tube fed. Date of manufacture codes out to be Sep, l947. Wood is in excellent condition. About 90% overall. The rear portion of the iron sights is missing. There are holes drilled in the receiver where a scope was mounted at one time.
2. Remington Sportmaster 512-X, .22 Bolt actiion, tube fed. Date of manufacture codes out to be Jul, 1965. Wood is in excellent condition. About 90% overall. Again the rear portion of the iron sight is missing. There is a Tasco scope currently mounted on it.
3. Winchester Model 72 Bolt Action .22, tube fed. Unable to determine date of manufacture. Last date of manufacture is 1949. Wood is in excellent condition. It is complete including the original iron sights. There are flush mounted screws in the receiver where a scope was mounted sometime in the past. The safety does not appear to be working. Overall I would guess about 90%.
Thank you in advance for any info provided.
