kardiotae, you have the same P7 I do a HK import not one of the BMI's reissues..Yours will demand a premium .The last value on the HK imports was 1850.00 and collectors were snatching them up..HK did not import many into the country. If I remember correctly they only imported 400 of them..

P7's can be a hit or miss , a Plumb or as they say plum (coloured)colored slide is a re worked pistol.Thats one I am not sure about..?But the thumb release was added to the last of the P7's that were made..They started to mount the frame mag release when they were importing the P7 M13's and so on into the US market.

Anyhow, the P7 for 1500.00 with that many mags in good condition is a steal..But I am still confused, is it a 8 round you are picking up?If its a 13 round then as said above its a P7 M13 ..Which is almost double the value of a standard P7..But the weird thing is they are much harder to sell..I have a P7M13 that I tried to sell and finally decided to just put back into the safe ..To me they do not feel right..Also as you can see I have a all stainless Sig P229 ..This is my carry gun..

Anyway kardiotae, you take great pics..Mine looks beat up because of the lighting..Ha ha..As you can see though mine is also a HK imported..

That is a good one with behind the mag release just like one I used to own. The commercial ones with heat shield in black plastic box, manual, target, nylon brush, 2 eight cartridge mags, and firing pin wrench in top shape sell well in $1100 to $1200 range. The $1800 one with 8 13 round mags lasted only one week at local shop. The fat grip one with standard complement of two mags will fetch about $1500. These are very high quality all steel made guns that are surely going to be classics in not so distant future and unless Greeks stop using them and send us some there will be no more to be had.:(

I have a P7M8 not the P7M13. There was another individual talking about one. I like them but that is not what I purchased. I picked up a LNIB P7M8 with 2 mags, box, tool, brush, manual & unfilled warantee card, no extras.

I will take some shots of mine tonight after dinner and see what you guys think.

The pics that are on this thread are another gentlemans gun, not mine, I quoted him and his pics were attached.

Let me know what you guys think in a little while when I get some pics up.

Thanks.

Thanks. I thought it was a good deal and I had been looking for one for a while, to find one in this shape at the price i did was cool.

Nice, it's even "pre-warning" which people seem to pay more for. Shoot it... I bought a NIB one, put 150 rounds through it, then it sat for two years as I waffled on selling it and the 10 mags I have for it. Recently I "rediscovered" it ...and why I bought it... and realized it really is the perfect pistol (for me).

BigBore, any tips on getting it back together w/o battering the piston? Or is it just a matter of if you feel resistance, you obviously need to reposition and try again, not force it? thx

MIgunguy, hold the slide with the piston hanging, mainspring on the barrel, guide the slide toward the receiver at an angle so the piston is in line with the piston bore, insert, when you feel resistance move the piston around until you feel it drop in the bore, continue rear until you can drop the slide over the release hook, done, repeat.

kardiotae, very nice, welcome to the cult.
