Value of a SA 1911 in .40?

Here's what I've got. An SA Loaded in .40S&W. I was told it was worth ~ $900. Does that sound about right?

New, I would say yes. In the condition yours in take 25-30% off from what I can see. Interested in selling!

In my neck of the woods, a used/good condition Loaded in 9mm goes for $650-$750 and a 45ACP version will probably be in the solid $700-$750 range. Prices on forties are harder to pin down, because they are both rare (good) and not overly popular (bad).

If you find the right buyer in the right market, you might clear eight bills. In a different market, you might struggle to clear seven bills.

I would pay seven bills for a clean 40S&W Springer Loaded tomorrow. I would not pay nine.

My experience was about the same as yours. That's why when I was told it was worth $900, It got we wondering.

7~8 hundred tops since finding a person who likes a 1911 in .40 is might on impossible compared to finding one who wants one in 9mm or .45acp....I am a 1911 weirdo and would not want one in .40 but am sure someone does. Good luck with the sale!
