Value of springfield 03 sporter

I just bought an 03 springfield sporter off gun broker. Cost was $465 plus shipping. From what I could find out from the serial # it was made in 1914. She looks like a beauty.

Was this a fair price if it turns out to be a good rifle? The seller told me it was accurate and in very good condition. It looks like who ever sporterized it knew what he was doing.

I don't have the rifle yet as I just bought it on auction. The rifle was sporterized by someone who knew what he was doing and the rifle is in excellent shape. No rust and beautiful metal. When I get the rifle I'll try and post some pictures.

Assuming the rifle was sporterized in good order and assuming the rifle is nice, did I get a fair deal?

1914 would make it a "low number" action, simple case hardened steel.
Some people are afraid to shoot those, even after they have survived 90 years of use.
