A friend showed me a beautiful revolver this morning, trying to determine a value. It was his father's and I don't think my friend interested in selling at this time, but I told him I'd try and get an idea what it's worth.
It's a Colt Police Positive, .38Spl., with a 5" barrel. It appears unfired, no ring or mark whatsoever on the cylinder, bright shiny 100% blueing, no scratches, holster wear or marks anywhere, wood grips are perfect. It has the original box with the related info on the outside of the cover.
He thinks his Dad bought it in the late 50's, early 60's. I was surprised at the size, frame is pretty small, barrel fairly slim.
Any collectors here that can give a ballpark figure?
