I am looking to consolidate my powder requirements down to Varget. I currently use H335 in my Dillon 550B and it meters very well. I have not used Varget and wondered if it meters as well as H335.
I have not had any problems with Varget in my Dillon Powder measure. That said, I have started using a 450 Powder thru die with a funnel and using my Charge master combo to throw the charge of Varget lately (just to try a different method) and really like this method better. It is on the money and every charge is individually weighed on my scale. Right on the money. It's a bit slower than just using my dillon Powder measure but what's the hurry.
Now I have had nothing but problems with Varget thru my Dillon powder measure. +or- .5 grs. I got a Pact measure/scale. and it works way better. Slower but I don't worry about the fluctuation. Is that a Charge Master combo? Loading 223 and 22-250. Could never get it to work. Maybe something I'm doing wrong so I'll take any advice.
