Variable Scope AR15

What variable powered scopes are you AR15 shooters out there using? I've got a 20" flattop that I'm thinking of upgrading to a magnified optic on. I'm considering a low power like a 1.5-4 power like Leupold's Mark 2 or their new Mark AR. What are my other options?

I've got a limited-run Bushmaster did for distributor Lew Horton. It's the sort of barrel you'd expect to see on a "varminter" - a very heavy/thick stainless - except it's threaded (currently mounting a brake), and 20" rather than 24".

It's purpose is to serve as a dedicated M193-slinger out to about 225yds should the need arise.

To this end, I'm very pleased with the Leupold Mk4 CQT on Leupold's own quick-detach throw-lever mount. I have yet to get around to putting a back-up iron rear sight on it. Will get to it soon.
