I can almost guarantee that the shots out are not because of OAL differences. (All shot at 7 yards over the chrono at 5 yards.)

I was a little chagrined today, reloading with my LnL, about a hundred .45 ACP Hornady 230 gr. FMJ-RN to find the OAL varying from 1.255 to 1.265. Aiming for 1.260.

Then I reloaded about 30 230 gr. RN Blue Bullets to find them 1.260 to 1.264 OAL. Aiming for 1.262.

Didn’t expect the BlueBullets to be more consistent than the Hornady FMJs.

I would bet the difference is how the two bullets fit, and don't fit, the seater stem.

If you are asking about the screw in add on micro top, I can check when I get home, but I don't think so.

Yes I am. If it's not too much trouble.
Thanks! SCD

Yes but only with certain series's of dies.

Edut:

Notes:
  • Will not work in oversized dies or other manufacturers dies
  • Will not work with Custom Grade New Dimension Taper Crimp Seating Dies
  • To install, remove standard seating stem and screw the Microjust Seating Stem on and you are ready to go
