VCI storage bags

Anyone use these bags for storage? My Springfield came in a bag that had a VCI label imprinted on it, so I figured it would be good for all my gun storage. Any reason not to use these?

They work fine.For long term storage I clean the gun carefully,coat with a light layer of RIG ,a piece of vaper rust inhibiting paper and put in a plastic bag.
