Ol East Texas sent his Uberti Remington New model Navy .36 for us to test and we have discovered the least accurate pistol Ive ever shot. I did this test twice because the first go round it was just hittin all over and I decided the .375 were just too small for it....they were too small but shooting the .380s from the bench didnt help us. We did find it was possible to change the cylinders out after loading and shooting it twice, but the action was becoming pretty gummed up by then..check it out!

Fun to watch .... but .... I thought you weren't supposed to pour powder straight from the flask into the cylinder.
 
The first load there is no danger...and the second load was 10 minutes later...more than enough time for an ember to have burned out...but yes that is a good rule of thumb!

No danger for you maybe. Some of those flasks arnt built very well, their spouts dont close all that good.

Thats one of the things that kills me about this, people load right from the flask without any fear yet they put a big blob of bore butter after the ball to prevent a chainfire?

No fear that a brass bomb could blow up in your hands but i dont want any chainfires.

+1. I don't know how many times this has to be stated - there is NOTHING inherently dangerous about charging revolver cylinders from a flask. Single shot revolvers and muzzleloading rifles and shotguns are a horse of a different color however.
