Vihtavuori 1st edition load data

Thank you for the reply. It was pretty close to what I was looking for. But it looks like it was a little bit later in the publishing cycle.

There was a post here less than two years ago, where poster copied the 9mm data from the 'old Vit load data' as a picture.

Here ya go. I bought the manual just for these loads. Yes they work, yes they are hot, I would not suggest different projectiles than the ones listed. But I have and nothing exploded in the 7 or 8 different guns I have tested these loads in. Xtps or flat point bullets are the biggie here vs fmj round ogive bullets. ( IE seating depth between the two)

This data is from a 4in barrel

I have the 9x21 loads if you would like them. I have shot them in 9x19 in alot of different guns but people here would have a heart attack if I suggested using them in a "normal 9mm":neener:

The hottest load given for the 115gr Hornady bullet is giving 1423'/min and this converts to a 163.4 PF (Power Factor = speed X bullet weight / 1000). The 124 gr bullets show a lower PF.

The Minimum PF for the USPSA 9mm "Major" load class is 165 PF, and to give some room for temp or other changes affecting bullet speed, 170 PF would be required.

These pressures do require a solid gun and limits the reuse of spent cases.

Thanks Mike.
Gotta love reloading. i.e. Why pay $25 for a box of 20 Buffalo Bore +p+ when you can make 50 for $9 (at <+p)! Thanks again. Oh, BTW, please post the 9X21 data. Happy New Year!

Ok here's the hell fire.

9mm Major is fun in a 9mm major gun.

Small rifle primers do help when going this hot.

Have fun!!! Be careful!
